Does listing a school work (and why should a reader care)?

I am sometimes asked why a school should advertise on the Best Online High Schools website. It’s a fair question and I thought I would give a reasonable answerable. Thanks to the many folks who read this website, we now get a significant amount of traffic.

Take, for example, our newest school, University of Miami Global Academy. It has just been listed on our site this past week. Do a Google search for: “University of Miami Global Academy.” You will discover that three of the first ten hits are related to this site. The BOHS site is the sixth and seventh ones and our blog feed that goes to Amazon.com is the tenth one.

After only one week, we hit the first page of Google for this school three times. Why is this important for readers to know? We claim to be the largest independent site for online high schools. This is how we back up that claim. It is absolutely about validity of the source.

There is a good conversation going on over in the forum about choosing the right school for a daughter. It is in the thread Online high who you can trust. Not because anything was wrong with her three choices, but because of the description of her daughter. Take a read.
