1. Can you give us a general introduction to your school?
International Virtual Learning Academy (IVLA) is a California private school serving students throughout the world through its unique online independent study program. IVLA awards a California High School diploma and is accredited by the Northwest Association of Accredited Schools
2. Who is your typical student (or students)?
The typical IVLA student seeks to graduate from High School outside of the traditional brick-and-mortar educational system. Whether they need to make up additional credits, or accelerate their pace to graduation, IVLA students know that they will have educational opportunities that many public and private schools are not able to provide. In additional to the standards based curriculum, IVLA provides opportunities for students and families to communicate with and learn with other students and families throughout the world.
3. What makes your school unique?
IVLA provides highly qualified teachers for every course who work individually with each student to assist him or her towards graduation. Each student’s graduation plan is individualized to his or her unique learning needs and to their life circumstances. IVLA’s students come from around the world, and most have expressed a desire to go on to higher education. Parents and families of IVLA students are highly involved in their student’s education.

In addition to the high standards of learning incorporated into IVLA’s mission, students will find the individualized assistance, global learning opportunities, and path to graduation that they may not find in more traditional brick-and-mortar schools.
