I get many emails asking questions about online schools. I find it much better both for me and for our readers if those questions are shared.
So here’s your chance. What do you want to know?
All you have to do is ask your question as a comment to this post.
I AM LOOKING FOR HIGH SCHOOL COURSES FOR MY CHILD (AGE 16) TO TAKE TO CATCH UP AND RETURN TO HER REGULAR HIGH SCHOOOL FOR HER SENIOR YEAR. 2011-2012 WOULD BE HER JUNIOR YEAR IF SHE HADN’T MISSED MOST OF HER SOPHMORE YEAR. SHE IS EXTREMELY BRIGHHT. IN SCHOOL SHE WAS IN ALL HONORS CLASSES. UNFORTUNATELY DUE TO MEDICAL PROBLEMS HER FATHER AND I HAVE, SHE STOPPED GOING TO SCHOOL, SOMETHING SHE NOW REGRETS TERRIBLY. ANY ADVICE OR GUIDENCE WOULD BE EXTREMELY APPRECIATED.
Where I usually like to start with this question is where you live. The options available vary noticeably by state. If you can let me know that, I will be happy to offer assistance.
My 16 year old son has recently begun having panic attacks about attending the high school he’s gone to for the past two years. However, he cannot verbalize why. He is very shy to begin with and we feel he’ll be isolated even more as well as have problems because he isn’t self disciplined if he goes completely online with high school. He also is bright, in many AP/Honors courses and has a 4.1 grade average.
He wants to go to medical school eventually and I’m seeing very little about how students who complete their high school degree online stack up against traditional high school students when it comes to the acceptance rate as some of the better universities.
I have seen online students go on to many better universities. Importantly, many of them will gladly tell you where there graduates go. One type of school to consider is one related to a university (University of Missouri, University of Nebraska, Indiana University).
I am a rising senior this year and currently am very unhappy with my school. As the person above said, i too have panic attacks about school. I have been searching online for weeks and cannot find the school right for me. I am looking for a tuition free online high school. The one through K12 isnt offered for high school for high school. any suggestions?
In which state do you live? That is a key piece of information for your search.
